MP Eric Ollerenshaw presents TNP with their ISO 27001 certificate28/02/2014
Today TNP welcomed Eric Ollerenshaw OBE, MP of Lancaster and Fleetwood, to present our recently awarded ISO 27001 certificate.
After a tour of our offices, the TNP directors discussed their key markets, strategy for growth and how the government can assist small businesses to drive the economic recovery.
Mr Ollerenshaw commented on how important superfast broadband services are to Lancashire, especially the rural areas, and was interested in TNP’s services for BT ‘not spots’ and rural communities.
Mr Ollerenshaw then presented Paul Astle, Director and Information Manager, with their ISO 27001 certificate.
TNP have recently been awarded 27001:2005, Information Security Management certification. ISO 27001 is widely regarded as the worldwide industry standard for data security.

ISO 27001 comprises ten detailed business controls including information security policy, security organisation, asset classification controls, personnel security, physical security, communication management, access controls, system deployment, continuity planning and compliance.
These controls are audited annually, ensuring ongoing compliance and commitment to the security of their customers.
