TNP gains place on public sector G-Cloud 9 framework06/06/2017
TNP in Lancaster has been awarded a place on the G-Cloud 9 framework to provide specialist cloud services to the public sector.
G-Cloud 9, which went live in May, is the latest version of the Digital Marketplace procurement framework designed by the Crown Commercial Service to help local authorities, health trusts and other public sector organisations to use the cloud more effectively.
TNP (The Networking People) will offer professional consultancy which includes advising local authorities on moving to Cloud services, or assessing the Cloud-ready status of their networks.
Ian Anderson, Solutions Architect with TNP, explains:
Acceptance within the G-Cloud 9 framework to provide specialist cloud support services demonstrates TNP’s commitment to the public sector. Our specialist knowledge and experience can help local authorities and health trusts to set up and maintain their Cloud software or hosting, with the aim of improving efficiency and providing more cost effective services.
“Many local authorities have a particular problem because the configuration of their networks does not provide the flexible and resilient infrastructure which is required to provide Cloud access across a broad spectrum of users. TNP can offer the knowhow gained within the public sector to assess systems and advise on making networks more Cloud-friendly.”
