TNP gains supplier status for new CCS public sector network and IT catalogue23/10/2020

Further and higher education institutions and local authorities can now purchase network and IT commodity products including software from public sector specialists The Networking People (TNP) through the Crown Commercial Service Technology Online purchasing catalogue.

TNP has gained a place as a supplier for the new framework agreement which goes live in November 2020 and replaces Lot 6 in Technology Products 2

The new agreement offers a flexible and compliant route to source low complexity technology hardware and software, and includes opportunities to take advantage of aggregation discounts.

CCS states that the RM6147 agreement follows on the success of the previous Technology Products catalogue. It meets demand for a separate framework dedicated to a streamlined and easy to use catalogue service that includes smart basket functionality that automatically highlights the lowest prices. Public sector users will include local authorities, education providers and health trusts.

Ian Anderson, Solutions Architect with TNP welcomed the new generation catalogue purchasing route from CCS which has proved valuable for many local authorities and other public bodies.

Being able to source commodity products at a competitive price from reputable and pre-approved suppliers is a useful tool for public sector customers facing increasing pressure on budgets. TNP will use its top-tier vendor partnerships with leading software providers including cyber security specialist Fortinet to offer public sector organisations best value pricing in a compliant manner.

“Working with CCS enables us to provide this service, and our position as an approved supplier gives customers confidence to also open conversations with us about other elements of their networks or communications infrastructure.

“The majority of our customers are based in the public sector so it is a natural fit for our business as an independent company delivering advice, guidance and exceptional service and solutions across a range of areas including networks and securing optimum cloud access.

TNP is active on a number of frameworks operated by the Crown Commercial Service, including G-Cloud 12 – the latest version of the Government’s Digital Marketplace procurement framework.
