TNP gains supplier status on new CCS Technology Services 3 framework14/07/2021

Public sector networking specialist TNP has been named as a supplier on the new Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services 3 framework.

TNP (The Networking People) is active in the new framework’s Lot 3b – Operational Management, and Lot 3c – Technical Management, providing strategic and operational support to local authorities, health trusts and further and higher education institutions across the UK.

The Technology Services 3 (TS3) framework is designed to enable public sector customers to procure information and communication technology services across the entire lifecycle; from strategy through to transition and operational deployment.

CCS has made refinements to the new framework aimed at making it easier and more efficient for customers to procure services.

TNP was one of the original companies accepted onto Network Services 1 in 2015. As an SME, TNP welcomes the more open access offered by the framework to independent specialist businesses that can stand alongside the giant multinationals by being pre-qualified to supply into the public sector.

TNP Commercial Director Chris Wade explains: “Independent companies have a vital role to play in the public sector to ensure that local authorities and other organisations have more flexibility in the way they implement their digital strategies.

As a strategic partner or a service provider, TNP can help to ensure that organisations get value for money and works alongside other commercial suppliers to deliver the high quality services the public sector requires.

“We enjoy good relationships with a wide range of public sector organisations which appreciate our innovative delivery of network services and support. Being able to bid for public sector business through the TS3 framework simplifies the procurement process for everyone involved.”

The new framework includes 253 suppliers, of which 64% are SMEs – compared with 52% for Technology Services 2. TS3 is set to run for four years, with call-off contract durations from two to seven years.

Philip Orumwense, Commercial Director and Chief Technology Procurement Officer at CCS said: “Technology Services 3 has been designed and developed using an extensive discovery and consultative process with many of our customers, suppliers, and partners. This framework truly reflects and represents their expectations and provides the platform for the country to build back better with the right mix of quality and innovative suppliers, including SME providers.”

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
