YPO selects TNP for new 4-year public sector purchasing framework29/10/2020
TNP (The Networking People) has been selected to provide services through the YPO framework for the purchase of network connectivity and telecommunication products and solutions by the public sector.
YPO is one of the largest public sector purchasing consortiums in the UK supplying schools, colleges and universities, in addition to a broad range of local authority departments and other businesses such as nurseries and care homes.
TNP has gained the opportunity to provide Wide Area Network and Local Area Network Services along with Cyber Security Solutions.
Ian Anderson, Solutions Architect with TNP commented: “Covid-19 has placed a huge burden on the further and higher education sectors, local authorities and other public sector organisations, and increased the pressure on budgets and service infrastructures.
“Within further education, many students are restricted in their movements and increasingly accessing lectures and other course elements direct from laptops, while universities, local authorities and other public sector organisations have expanded facilities for working from home. All of these developments have meant changes to estates strategies, and renewed focus on achieving the optimum performance and security of networks.
TNP has extensive experience in working with public sector bodies and can provide guidance and advice on using the services offered through the procurement framework to cost effectively deliver secure and resilient local and wide area networks, cloud access and cyber security solutions.
The four year YPO framework agreement is designed to meet the needs of public sector organisations and YPO’s internal requirements. YPO is publicly owned by 13 local authorities and operates a profit share for its public sector customers.
Mr Anderson added that TNP was delighted to be collaborating through the framework with an organisation led by business principles that so closely reflected their own.
He explained: “A basic tenet of TNP since the company was established in 2012 has been to provide exceptional value for public sector clients. As a publicly owned organisation YPO shares profits with its customers. As an independent company we use our experience and expertise to tailor product and service packages for our clients that are not dictated by connection to a particular software or hardware supplier. TNP is therefore able to offer a range of open market solutions from a single source to benefit local authorities, colleges, and universities.
Approval on the YPO purchasing network sits alongside TNP’s acceptance on other public sector purchasing routes including those operated by the Crown Commercial Service.
